Golden Flapjack


365g porridge oats

85g plain / gf flour

210g salted butter

180g golden syrup

210g soft light brown sugar


Preheat oven to 180C

Grease a 12”by 8”tin and line with grease proof parchment paper

In a large bowl, mix the oats & flour

In a separate microwaveable bowl, melt your butter in the microwave (10 seconds at a time until melted)

Once your butter has melted, whisk in the syrup & light brown sugar

Combine the wet & dry ingredients and add to your prepared baking tray

Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden on top and only a slight wobble


Allow to cool completely before cutting (Chef's tip: pop in the fridge for a few hours for a nice clean cut & allow to come back to room temperature before eating.)
